Inspired by Hip-Hop her favorite artist being Nas and Lauryn Hill. A the age of 16 Isis began to write and fell in love with her pen. She wrote poems about her 1st love and things she went through while living in Lefrak City, Queens. She was so blown away by her passion and her talent for writing she wanted to become a song writer and poet. However she secured a more stable future by receiving two Bachelors Degrees in Accounting and English from Medgar Evers College. It was there where she rediscovered her love for writing and was encouraged to pursue it professionally by her Creative Writing Professor Elizabeth Nunez who is an award winning author.
Still she pushed her dreams to the side and entered a career in Accounting where she worked for a big company in the entertainment industry. But after being laid off she finally decided to walk in faith and follow her passion and create a powerful book entitled Reflections of Us. Her 1st book is filled with raw and inspirational stories, poems and messages that displays her undeniable talent, her love for her people and most of all God.
