Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I came late to writing. I'd always planned to write, but life kept getting in the way. We moved to the central coast right before I turned 40. Before I'd worked in the field of retail management. When we moved from the San Francisco area I celebrated my 40th birthday and I decided it was time. So I took a course through the mail, wrote my first book, The Blue Flame, an epic fantasy and submitted it to Hardshell Word Factory. The publisher is no longer in business, but it's owner, Mary Wolf is still around.
Hardshell accepted, The Blue Flame and my love of writing blossomed from there.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book, Hounded by Death, comes from two of my loves....ghost stories and basset hounds. My husband and I have been owned by basset hounds for the past 26 years. I love everything about them. That led me into basset hound rescue. You will find a basset hound in each of my books.
