Barbara L. B. Storey is a writer, photographer, and digital artist. She loves to write, to read, to travel, and is also crazy about baseball. She was born and now lives in Canada, but is a former resident of New York City and misses it very much.
She's also particularly fond of certain book series - Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Outlander - of poetry, historical fiction, mysteries and thrillers, biographies, and history of almost any kind, but particularly art and political.
She has lived several different, interesting lives in both North America and Europe, but through them all, one thing has remained true: creating is essential. Writing or art - as long as she is making something and telling a story, she is happy.
You can find her on the Internet (all too often) in these places:

When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was about 5, I think. My first piece was a reworking of the Princess and the Pea fairytale in script form for my sisters and I to perform in our living room. I still have the first two pages of it.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My new book comes out on October 17, 2016 - "Stranded With You," the first book of three in my Fate Chose Us series. I started it in response to a writing challenge in an online community I belonged to a while ago. There were a couple of situations that had to be included in each submission, and it was SUPPOSED to be a short story.
Three books and 120,000 some words later, I had the Fate Chose Us series, the story of Jon and Becca, their unlikely meeting, and their falling in love.
This short story/interlude takes place in the world of my adult romance novel, "Fate Cuts Both Ways." I hope you enjoy this short Tantric fantasy, which takes place some time after the novel, in the characters' near future.
Love is a mystery, passion is an adventure - every time. Perfect Need, a collection of short stories, is an exploration of what love and passion can become, how they affect two people for a moment, or a lifetime. What happens when they close their eyes, literally or not; when they tumble into a love they never expected; when they decide it's worth the risk to stay . . . or time to leave?
