B.D. Tharp


Award-winning author B.D. Tharp, an author and freelance writer for Active Aging and Generation Boom magazines. A lifetime resident of Kansas, B.D. Tharp graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Women/Minority Studies and Fine Arts. Former President of Kansas Writers Association, Tharp has published a short story in the Sheridan Edwards Review; an essay in A Waist Is A Terrible Thing To Mind, an Anthology and over a hundred articles for various magazines and newsletters. Feisty Family Values was included in the 150 Best Books by Kansas Writers in 2011, and a finalist in the USA News Best Books for 2010. B.D. is married with one grown son, two grandsons and two very spoiled dogs.
