What an awesome story. This book had something different – not your usual young adult or paranormal book. It’s based in Adelaide – which was a big plus for me living in Adelaide. I really enjoyed Mia and “her boys”. She is a tough cookie with special powers who escaped from the foster home system and was accepted as part of the family by a group of men who were living in hiding. It was interesting to read about this type of existence and how each member of the “family” had something to contribute. Then we meet Nate and things start to change. Nate bought with him a glimpse of a romance side to the story. Overall the book is action packed, unique and well worth the read!
Deception was a great sequel to Ties that Bond and didn’t disappoint. In Deception we spend more time in the alternate universe which was really cool. We meet a different group of men who are the same as Mia’s men but in the alternate universe, eg. same name and looks. This gets fun when they meet each other! This book had a good mix of action, adventure, family ties, romantic notion and a whole lot on AI (artificial intelligence). This was really interesting in that there was a car who was an AI car and spoke/connected/bonded with Mia. Overall it was a great story and well worth the read.
