  • Syndrome on June 11, 2011

This is a great book by a terrific author. He tells a compelling story that is also pretty technical, but in a way that doesn't "talk down" to the reader. The scary part is that it could be happening right now, in real life.
  • The Last Bard on Aug. 12, 2011

Great short story! Would recommend to all. Only wish it could have been longer, would love to spend more time with these caracters and followed them further.
  • Inseparable on Aug. 12, 2011

Absolutely the best story I've read in a long time. Offbeat, uplifting, funny and unique! Recommend highly. Can't wait to start the vampire trilogy (or quad from what I've read). Thank you for this thoughtful story.
  • Birth of the Shepherd on Aug. 22, 2011

Recommend this story to mature teens and adults. I've never read a story that shocked me so quickly, yet kept me wanting to read more. I hope this is expanded to a full length novel, because it's that good. I also hope to read more from this author soon.
  • The Realm Shift (RS:Book One) on Sep. 15, 2011

    Great series.
  • Alinora on Sep. 23, 2011

I loved this story! It kept me guessing for a while, but the ending was perfect. I highly recommend this book, and look forward to more from this author.
  • Luna's Sokjan on Sep. 27, 2011

Love this book, and can't hardly wait for part two. Despite some grammer and punctuation problems this is one of the best books I' ve ever read. Very unique story line, and the dialogue (even when she's talking to herself!) is wonderful.
  • Last Dance of a Black Widow on Oct. 06, 2011
    (no rating)
Highly recommend. A very thought provoking story.
  • Last Dance of a Black Widow on Oct. 06, 2011

A thought provoking story, well written. Highly recommend.
  • Indifferent (A Short Story) on Nov. 02, 2011

Karma, as this story shows, comes to us all. Great story, very descriptive.
  • Mother Dearest on Nov. 02, 2011

I really liked this, especially the way words were put together in unusual ways. One phrase that stuck in my head (silly, I know) was about "the nostril-like slits in the toaster", that was guarding his sandwich. I highly recommend this story.
  • Ivory on April 08, 2012

Another GREAT READ by Steve Merrifield! I did think the first part of the book was a little bit slow, but then the last page # I remember seeing was 250, and when I looked again I was on page 416 and the story had just flown by! I could not believe the story only had another 80 some pages to go, and I was going to have to leave another Steve Merrifield world behind. The characters are great, I could not decide if I liked most of them or not, but it didn't matter. The last scene in the book is the most shocking thing I've read in a long time. Look out stephen king!
  • The Sweet Man on May 03, 2012

Spooky! Like all the things our parents warned us about, going from one highly commercialized holiday to the next with the worst possible boogie man! Scary sad read. Well written.
  • Broken Sigil on May 09, 2012

What a great tale...can't wait for the next book! Loved the characters and the mystery behind some of them, like Al, good guy? Bad guy? Liked the way it turned out. Thanks for the free read!
  • Valley of Sorrows on May 12, 2012

Great book, wonderful characters that felt like real people. Very well written, I couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to reading more from this talented author. Thanks for the free book!
  • 80AD - The Jewel of Asgard (Book 1) on May 15, 2012

Love this book, and I am neither a teenager (50+) or a gamer. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I can't understand why such a well written and edited book is free. As I was looking for the next in this series I figured it would be well worth it to pay for the remaing books, they are really that good. Thank you for the free books, looking forward to reading more from this very talented writer.
  • Not Forgotten on May 23, 2012

Funny, scary, shocking and heartwarming, this book is great! While some of it seems a little choppy in places the story outweighs any technical complaints. I was raised in Arlington, it was really wonderful to read a story written by a local writer writing about this area. Can't wait to read more books from Mr. Evich. Thanks for the free book!
  • A Perfect Madness on May 27, 2012

This was a well written story, but due to subject matter it was hard to read and even harder to finish.
  • ALBERT AND THE CROWS; PART TWO on May 30, 2012

Unique story with quite an unexpected twist near the end. While written rather simply the characters seemed well developed and interesting. After reading "Albert and the crows part one" I couldn't wait to find out what happened to this poor horribly abused family.
  • Jack:Revenge and Retribution on June 02, 2012

This is a great book. Much better than "albert and the crows 1 and 2". Looking forward to reading more from this author.
  • Sorrento Beach on June 22, 2012

This is the first book I have ever quit reading before the end. I'm on page 178 of 280, and I just don't care any more. The beginning was pretty good, and I figured from the prologue this would be a pretty good read. He sets up how much Jack means to him and Jack disappearing. But then its a 150 pages of very little to do with Jack's disappearance. I keep waiting for something to happen, anything, at all, but it just doesn't happen. I'm sorry, but it's just not worth my time.
  • The Island - Part 1 on July 02, 2012

While this story looks promising, it is a little hard to follow at times. Lots of long rambling explainations, by the time we get to the point (sometimes we get there) I've forgotten where we were headed. I am hooked however, and am eagerly getting ready to read part two. Thanks for the free read!
  • The Island - Part 2 on July 03, 2012

Wow! This part is so much better than the first part. So much more concise and to the point. They are starting to realize things are bad, and are going to get much worse. Can't wait for part three!!! Thanks for the free read!
  • Fatal Boarding on Aug. 07, 2012

Awesome book! Couldn't put it down! Hope to read more of Adrian Tarns' adventures. Thanks for the free read.
  • Deep Crossing on Aug. 10, 2012

Great story. It seemed to get a little bogged down in the beginning with alot of in depth details, but as the story progressed it picked up the pace. The last third of the book was worth the wait, hoping to read more about Adrian Tarn and his adventures soon! Thanks for the free read!
  • Death Can Dance Too: and Other Stories of Mayhem, Machines and Monsters on Aug. 14, 2012

These are some really great stories. I enjoyed every one! I'll look forward to reading more from this author. Thanks for the free read!
  • The Empty Door on Aug. 14, 2012

Great story, quite the imaginative tale! The story only took place over a week or so (or thats how I read it) and the two main characters didn't seem to warm up to each other til the very end. I still really liked this book, and would recommend it highly. I also can't wait to read more from this author. Thanks for the free read!
  • The Island - Part 3 on Aug. 20, 2012

Fantastic series! Each part is better than the one before. Can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks for the free read!
  • The Island - Part 4 on Aug. 20, 2012

Fantastic series! Thanks for the free read!
  • The Island - The Final Chapters on Aug. 20, 2012

Fantastic series! Can't wait to read the next book in the series "The Rock". Thanks for the free read!
  • The Virtual Dead on Aug. 20, 2012

Very good story. I like these characters alot, and the story line is unique and interesting. Thanks for the free read!
  • The Glass Hummingbird on Aug. 20, 2012

Great story! This is the third adventure of Scott and Cassiopia, joined again with FBI agent Ann Rogers. Cass takes the lead in this story from a plane wreck on top of a snowy mountian to the depths of a fanatical terrorists mind. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author, who writes some of the best stories I've ever read. Thanks for the free read!
  • Box of Rot on Aug. 20, 2012

Good collection of short stories. Thanks for the free read.
  • Box of Darkness on Aug. 20, 2012

Well written collection of short stories. Thanks for the free read.
  • Memories of Hel on Sep. 09, 2012

Terrific short syfy story, with just enough details thrown in so you can jump right into the action and still have some idea about what in the 'Hel' is going on! Looking forward to reading more from this writer. Thanks for the free read!
  • Tears From a Clown on Oct. 22, 2012

This story started out fairly well, but towards the end it took some twists and I didn't understand the end. Was this guy nuts all along? Anyway, thanks for the free read.
  • Hell.org on Oct. 22, 2012

Great short story! Looking forward to reading more from this talented writer. Thanks for the free read!
  • Thirty Minutes on Oct. 29, 2012

This is a fantastic short story, I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a great story that is also very well written. I just bought your book "Thirty Years", and I can't wait to read it. Your writing is so descriptive I can almost smell the terrorists' hands as he places the watch necklace around Sarahs' neck, and the feel the pushing and shoving of the people trying to get the best seat on the train. Thank you for sharing your talent. This is one story I will never forget.
  • Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso on Oct. 30, 2012

Amazingly imaginative story! Richly detailed throughout, you can see and almost smell what he is describing. I got a little lost switching back and forth in the beginning, but its still a 5 star story. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work. Thanks for the free read!
  • Mortality in Wasteland: My Life as Black Death's Undertaker on Oct. 31, 2012

This is a grand story, both in scope and depth, and I highly recommend it. I knew next to nothing about the plague before reading this historical fiction and found this to be highly educating and the characters very well written. I also could not put it down!! I really enjoy the way Jeff writes, whether its historical fiction like this, or more contemporary stories like "Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso", which I also enjoyed alot. (Another 5 star book in my opinion.) Thanks for a great reading experience!
  • Oblivion Calls: Welcome to the Apocalypse on Nov. 03, 2012

I like this story alot. It ranges far and wide to present a story that somehow connects us all in the end. Lots of really great characters too. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author soon! Thanks for a great read.
  • The Soul: The Dawn of The Overseer on Nov. 04, 2012

What an awesome story! And apparently this is only book one, with book 2 "The Soul Book 2 The Draconian Council" due out some time, hopefully really soon! The characters in this story are very well drawn, and I was sad to have to leave them. The only reason this book is not getting 5 stars is the torrent of misspelled words, words used in the wrong tense or meaning, and the punctuation is awful. I can over look alot when the overall story is worth it, and its dang well worth it in this case. Thanks for a great story. Can't wait for "The Draconian Council"!!
  • REX-34-Metal Messiah on Nov. 05, 2012

Awesome story! The last thing I expected when I got to the end of this book was tears (my own!). This writer has created characters that quickly found their way into my heart. I couldn't put this amazingly unique story down. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Thanks for a great read!
  • Laws of Innocence on Nov. 06, 2012

Great short story. Thanks for the free read!
  • Dark Corners on Nov. 07, 2012

Funny, snarky, scary story! This is a great book! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series "Dark Passing" as soon as I get done with this review. Thanks for the free read!
  • Dark Passing on Nov. 09, 2012

Wonderful story! I love Ella Reynolds and her crazy life. Hope there is more to come. Thanks for a great read!
  • Rule 14 on Nov. 16, 2012

This is a fantastic book! The characters feel so real, it almost like reading an account of something that happened to your friends. I found myself hoping and praying that Dana and Jackson and the kids would all make it out of this thing alive (Barney too!). Thank you for a great story and thanks for the free read!
  • Evan Burl and the Falling, Vol. 1-2 on Nov. 21, 2012

Fantastic story! I can't wait to find out what happens next! Thanks for the free read!
  • The Evanescence Chronicles: Volume I on Nov. 27, 2012

Fantastic hugely imaginative story! A whole new world (or 5 or 7!) With characters that draw you in and keep you caring. I couldn't put it down. I'm about to start book 2 in the series, can't wait to see what happens next! Thank you for sharing such an epic story, and thanks for the free read!
  • I'm So Embarrassed...Sort Of on Nov. 27, 2012

This is some of the funniest laugh out loud til you pee your pants kind of stories I've ever read! Anybody whos got brothers and/or sisters or in-laws will appreciate several of these for sure! My favorite is the one about the Yeti brother-in-law in shorty robe! Thank you for sharing, and thanks for the free read!
