B. E. Hopkins

I am a Content Developer at The Great Courses. As a freelancer, I’ve edited hundreds of books for Penguin, Cahiers du cinéma, and others.

My own work has appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, OMNI Reboot, Contrary, Steppe, and PEN International magazines, as well as other journals in the US, UK, and France. I’ve also completed two book-length translations for Cahiers du cinéma/Phaidon.

I am currently seeking literary representation.

Charlie Dean’s real proud of his “string o’ pearls” – a long, ragged scar running across his belly. Claims he got it the night he killed his girlfriend Sally’s old man back in Kansas. But only the bartender who was there the night before – the night Charlie done what he did – knows the true story behind that ugly old wound.
