What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have one simple inspiration - the teacup and kettle I have prepared the night before. With two kids and three dogs, a full-time job and a writing side-gig, my days are pretty full. But I know if I honour that first cup of tea, everything else will take care of itself. Spending those first few precious moments in stillness, listening to the birds sing, and enjoying the warmth of the tea is all the inspiration I need to make each day count.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I have lots of wonderful pastimes that help me take a break from writing, clear my head and provide energy and inspiration. My favourite would have to be playing in the pool with my kids. I am a demon at water volleyball! For more peaceful and inner connection I enjoy hiking, yoga and reading.
