BJ Kells

Throughout my life I have been fortunate enough to have a variety of learning and growth experiences. These range from travel abroad, military service, marriage and the birth of my two beautiful children. Our experiences help shape our beliefs and direction we take in life. It wasn't until I began to journal and document both these experiences and the subsequent beliefs that I began to see a pattern within my behaviour as a man. When talking to other men, and dads in particular, I found many of these beliefs or behaviours to be common among men. This is what drove me to write my book "The Man Brief". This self reflection has helped me to grow as a masculine entity and as a father. I hope it can help others to reflect and grow.

Smashwords Interview

What is your writing process?
My book began as a journal. I wasn't always the best at expressing or articulating what was going on in my head or heart, yet I found writing it down to be quite helpful and a somewhat therapeutic process. The journal entries began to take shape into life lessons and became chapters.
What do you read for pleasure?
I mostly read autobiographies or stories that hold truth. lately I have been interested in books about awakening or "self help". titles from people like Tony Robbins or Abraham Hicks. If it expands my horizons then its worth reading.
