Ben was born in Oldham Lancashire, moved to Spain for several years and now lives in Surrey with his wife (and best friend) Julie. He has three grown up sons; Ben, Nathan & Harley and a young granddaughter, Hollie
… “I feel sorry for Hollie’s boyfriends when she gets older. If any of this book’s character types go anywhere near her, he’ll have four of us to deal with!..”
In his spare time he has recently got back involved in his first love, music production and enjoys polluting the ambience of England’s south coast & countryside at the weekends on his Harley Davidson with his old school mate Yogi…… Err, I mean Barrie!!!
Another 95% continues where 95% left off. Still based on real events, the 3 main characters have left school and are trying to survive in Thatcher’s 1980s of high unemployment and low prospects. Casino and Yogi forget about Joey for a couple of years as they fill their time with nightclubbing, hunting loose women and generally living for the day but a chance encounter throws them back together.
an adult humoured story based 95% (hence the title) on real events around three characters and how they cruelly, or hilariously depending upon your point of view, interact throughout school and later work, ending with disastrous consequences. Additionally, it is a fascinating and honest insight into the reality of growing up in a northern working class town in the 1970’s and early 80’s.
