Walking and Wondering: Living Under the Sign of the Cross in the Shadow of the Swastika
on Jan. 03, 2013
The book spans almost 60 years o author’s Robert Salomon’s life, taking him from his native Germany, Spain, France and Cuba thru World War I, World War II, The Spanish Revolution and finally the Cuban Revolution.
In order to protect and defend his family, himself, his religious convictions, his political beliefs and social justice he suffered persecution, imprisonment, poverty and numerous life threatening situations. A consummate, loving father, musician, philosopher, businessman and a polyglot with a keen sense of humour, he used his incredible skills to stay alive, to protect his family and to help friends and complete strangers.
The book is well written and contains sometime unknown historical facts about major events of the 20th century
I thoroughly enjoyed and strongly recommend Walking and Wondering: Living under the Sign of the Cross in the Shadow of the Swastika
