Nom DePlume

Biography

Originally from the Florida panhandle, I spent time in the outskirts of New Orleans, the southern coast of Puerto Rico, and the coal and steel mining areas of eastern Pennsylvania before ending up in Brooklyn, NY. Florida was the hottest, New Orleans the soggiest, Puerto Rico the poorest, Pennsylvania the sootiest, and Brooklyn the tastiest. As far as living goes, taste is not that bad a pursuit.

Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
R is for Rocket by Ray Bradbury which led to Robert Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land and then to Kurt Vonnegut's The Sirens Of Titan. I love Sci-Fi but my favorite stylist is Joseph Conrad. He wrote in English although it is not his native language. My favorite work, all together, is J.D. Salinger's Nine Stories collection. 'Esme' is my favorite from that brilliant collection.
How do you approach cover design?
I like to show an image of some landscape, object, or person that put me in the frame of mind to write the story.
