Dr. Scott Turansky and his wife, Carrie, have five children. Josh, their oldest son, is married to Melinda and they have three children, Hudson, Hayden, and Hanale. He is a pastor in Southern California. Melissa is married to Peter and is a registered nurse. They live in work in Africa. Ben is a US Marine, recently returned from Iraq and stationed in Huntsville, AL. Megan and Elizabeth are twins, living near their parents and working full time as pet groomers.
The Turanskys and the Millers have been in ministry together since 1988. Dr Turansky and Mrs. Miller co-founded the National Center for Biblical Parenting. They have trained over 110 presenters who teach their material around the country, using parenting seminars as outreach to the community. The Turansky/Miller books, videos, workbooks, seminars, and parent training materials focus on giving parents practical, biblical tools to make lasting changes in their families. Using drama, stories, and the scriptures Turansky and Miller give parents the strategies and routines they need to help children change their hearts.
The later elementary years are sometimes called the "Tween Years." These children are growing rapidly and moving quickly toward adolescence. It's often during this stage that your child is most impressionable.
This book will help you understand more about the toddler experience and how best to parent during those years. You'll receive practical advice about eating, sleeping, discipline, and the social development of your child.
Reaching a child's heart happens in a number of ways. This book provides the tools that open the heart of your child. You'll learn how to use correction, dialogue, experience, and activity to reach your child in a deeper way and build a closer relationship.
