Arlene Miller, also known as "The Grammar Diva," is the author of twelve grammar books and a novel. Her first grammar book, The Best Little Grammar Book Ever, has sold thousands of copies and is being used by schools and colleges. The purpose of Arlene's books is to clear up common grammar issues with short, friendly, and easy-to-use books.. Her other grammar books include Correct Me If I'm Wrong, Beyond Worksheets, (an ebook with grammar lesson plans), The Great Grammar Cheat Sheet, The Best Grammar Workbook Ever, Fifty Shades of Grammar, Does Your Flamingo Flamenco?, The Best Little Grammar Workbook Ever, The Best Grammar Collection Ever, and To Comma or Not to Comma. She is also the author of Four Girls and a Purple Boa, a new adult story about four freshman college girls.
in addition to writing books, Arlene writes a weekly blog post about grammar and anything else to do with words. She is also a copyeditor for both fiction and nonfiction and offers grammar and business-writing presentations and workshops. She recently retired from teaching English after 11 years in the public schools in Petaluma, CA.
Arlene has been a featured speaker at the Sonoma County (CA) Book Festival, Bay Area Independent Publishing Association (BAIPA), Redwood Writers, Sonoma County Library, Romance Writers of America, Society of Technical Communications, College of Marin, Copperfield’s bookstore, and several Rotary and other community groups.
She is a member of Redwood Writers,Bay Area Independent Publishing Association, and Independent Book Publishing Association. She holds degrees in Print Media, English, and Humanities, as well as California teaching and school administration credentials. She has two extremely amazing children who are now young adults!
Other than words, Arlene's favorite things include her children (of course); her chihuahua, Minnie; coffee, especially Starbucks; hot weather; penguins; music; and dancing. Oh, and chocolate, of course. Dark. She now makes her home in Florida.
