Blakney was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a passion for storytelling and football. In college her majors ranged from Communications and Public Relations to Sports Psychology and English before she finally accepted that there was no career that could ever match up for her love of writing. She studied at the University of Alabama and Middle Tennessee State University.
She currently resides in Nashville, pursuing her dreams along side her country music singing friends. Occasionally she even comes out of her 'lair' for an adventure or two. Her debut novel "Someone I Used to Know" is set to be released April 2nd, 2013.
Sloan Averley, wild and troubled, is shipped off to live with her estranged grandfather in a small town in Alabama. She might be attracted to the town bad boy, but it's the quarterback of her grandfather's football team that she can't get out of her head.
Adley Adair's ex-boyfriend did more than just write an international bestseller about their failed relationship. He exposed all her dirty little secrets to the world, and locked all her demons into print, masquerading it as a love story. All she wants is to move on, to forget the whole thing ever happened, but that just got a whole lot harder now that the novel is being brought to life in film.
