UPDATE: A new year has come with a cold wind that blows down from the Arctic Vortex causing us to huddle together over warm fires and hot food shared with those we love. While you enjoy the holidays please enjoy my books written to inform and entertain. January has come and with it the price of knowledge has increased. My hope is that you were able to avail yourselves during the moratorium at $0.99. This opportunity will unfortunately rarely come again.

I have lowered the price on my books to $0.99 this price will be in effect until January 2017. Enjoy.

UPDATE: Now you have available to you beginning Dec. 8, 2015 "Make A Colloidal Silver Generator", by Brit Lowe. If you are crafty at all, you're going to enjoy this one. Swim with the current, DC current that is. I am looking forward to hearing from my readers about their experiences when they made their first colloidal silver generator. DC power to the people.

I began writing when I was nine years old. I loved poems and wrote many during my childhood. As a teenager I wrote short stories. I took some of my work to my english teacher, Mrs. Norman, and she advised me to major in journalism when I went to college. I took her advice and I did major in journalism with a minor in microbiology. I began writing feature stories in the local newspaper and reporting on the crisis at the time which was the failure of the Shah of Iran's corrupt government and the Iranian Savic Police's torture of political prisoners. My reporting must have been noticed because the Savic Police threatened me with cutting off my hands if I didn't stop reporting these stories. Lucky for me, shortly after this the Shah was deposed and the threats were meaningless so my life got back to normal. I switched my major to nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in O.R. for six years and Forensic Psychiatric nursing for the remainder of my career. I never stopped writing. Nursing was my profession, writing is my calling. I just published my second book on Smashwords and have three others in the pipeline. My first book was The Truth About Colloidal Silver, by Brit Lowe. My second book is a cookbook called This Cookbook Is For You!, by Brit Lowe, using Non-Gmo ingredients and informing new cooks and seasoned cooks about the uses for colloidal silver in the kitchen. I would like to thank my readers for their continued support. Expect the unexpected in my upcoming publications. God Bless and keep reading.

Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on a family owned ranching and farming operation in West Texas. I know what your thinking...but remember, everybody has to come from somewhere. And West Texas is rich in musical culture, literature, food production and beautiful sunsets. Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Los Lonely Boys and so many more music artists influenced my story telling. Fine artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, and Bren Price influenced my expanded view of the world. I admit that Georgia wasn't born in Texas, but she taught art In West Texas. The story of the Goodnight Loving Trail and tales of the exploits of my ancestors in taming the southwest influenced my love for writing. The romance and strength in all those hard won success stories and of the wide open spaces of my native land gives flight to my fancies. J. Frank Doby who wrote about the Texas Rangers and how they saved the Army of the United States of America from being annihilated by Mexico's military might in 1836 and Larry McMurtrey's book Lonesome Dove and so many more writers past and present influenced my writing and keeping the record straight. Actors like Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duval portray Texas historical characters with gut wrenching accuracy influenced my writing in getting to the core of who we are when we lead with our hearts.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted my voice to be heard. Having information or knowledge is only useful if you can share it. Since the internet and Smashwords came into being the world has awakened to a global community where we all have a voice and a need to tell our stories. Telling our stories is a basic human need. I hope to inform and entertain my global family with my writing and publishing on Smashwords.
