I am an indie author, as anyone could tell, and I love writing with all of my heart. My great grandmother, Irene Bennett Brown, is a published author, and she has inspired me to write at a young age. I live in Sutherlin, Oregon, and I spend most of my time writing, reading, and joining up with my fellow writer friend, Jennett Edmond. (Here's the link to her profile; https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/Jennett) I mainly like to write short stories and realistic fiction, with a little bit of poetry to the side.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My top 3 favorite books and stories are by my favorite fellow indie author, Jennett Edmond. The order goes as follows; Purple, The Inhabitants, and Next Sunday. The reason I love these so much is because I get a thrill out of them, no matter how many times I read them. Favorite books number four and five are most likely Leviathan by Scott Westerfield and Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I'm going to cheat a bit here, but I can't not include my great grandmother's books, Before The Lark and I Loved You, Logan Mcgee!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
What motivated me mostly would have to be all the fantastic things I've read over the years. The feelings I would get from the stories inspired me to create this feeling for others, but by my hand. Writing for other's enjoyment gives me the most pleasure I could ever get. Creating my own worlds and lives gives me another kind of excitement as well. Another motivation would be my Great Grandmother, who inspired me with her books when I was little.
Charlie is a working man with a happy life, lovely husband, and beautiful daughter. Everything is alright when he gets a new job, but then all goes to hell when his husband is brutally murdered. Violet has a peaceful life as well, until she learns a secret that was probably meant to stay hidden.
