Kai Mayerfeld

Kai Mayerfeld, born in mid-west America, followed a "call" to India in her early thirties. Since then, she has spent much of the last twenty-five years living in India. She has traveled all over the country, lived as a renunciate in an ashram, shared meals in dirt huts and palatial homes, recovered from malaria and life-threatening dysentery, and has been forever changed by the paradox and beauty of India. As a thank-you, and as a way to "save stories that might otherwise be lost", she has compiled a book of remarkable true stories in the book INDIA BITES YOU SOMEHOW.

She invites you to visit her blog: smallpebbles.com

Kai is currently at work on the second helping of INDIA BITES.
