In middle school, I started keeping a journal. It was initially nothing more than a recap of the day's events but quickly became much more as I searched for a voice in the crowds of high school. Into college, my notebooks took on a vital role as I struggled to slow down my world, to latch onto something that could help me come to terms with life's questions. Since then, I've completed a national AmeriCorps program, moved to Minneapolis, and worked too many jobs to name. Through all this, I've relied on writing to challenge my thinking and tell stories. I hope you enjoy the journey on which this struggle has taken me.
