While some prisoners’ words can be sharper than a shank on commissary day, other observations can be uplifting and hopeful. Written by a federal prisoner during his 12th year of a 17-year sentence, “As A Prisoner Thinketh” is an aspiring and, at times, funny treatise of personal essays on important subjects such as love, pain, hope, loneliness, friendship, family, trust, and legacy.
