Bruce Todd

Biography

I grew up in New Orleans where I acquired a taste for good food, and I've been an offshore chef or a chef in places such as the Amarillo Club. I've dabbed in writing all my life, but never had the time. Now that I am retired and with time on my hands I have several projects at work. Some are fiction and others nonfiction.

I have been widowed for 12 years and have no plans to remarry. The reason my email name is Catfriend is because I feed wild cats and sometimes spend a couple of days with them, studying them.

In 1996, I founded the Potter County Oral History project which resulted in a printed book, Bones Hooks: Pioneer Negro Cowboy, and have numerous interviews deposited in the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.
