If you are looking for sugar coated, happy clappy poems, then this collection is not for you. This book is about the raw, honest, stripped-to-the-bone darker side to emotions. It doesn't glorify or wallow in them, it just portrays, with crystal clarity, the way real life affects some of us. Beautifully written, no wasted words, or over dramatic descriptions, great construction and most of all, pure quality of poetic thought. As far as I know, this is the first collection by this poet, she should be very proud of this work.
