The characters in Ann Lee Miller's Kicking Eternity are believable and the reader can relate to them. They are challenged by contemporary life and the temptations we find in today's world. Sometimes they stumble, but as the story progresses, we see each of them trying to overcome these temptations and turning to their Christian faith for assistance.
Miller writes in a way that is easy to follow and flows well. As a fan of Christian romance, I enjoyed both the story and the telling of the story. I especially liked they way she brought in other elements of today's world, referencing shows and other books. She touches on the "languages of love" as described by author Gary Chapman in "The Five Love Languages".
I strongly recommend Kicking Eternity!
After reading -- and loving -- Ann Lee Miller's Christian novel "Kicking Eternity", I was eager to read The Art of My Life. Miller's writing style is easy to read and her characters are true to life. Her stories unfold in a comfortable way, but have enough drama to keep the reader involved. I look forward to reading more from Ann Lee Miller!
I've read two other books by Ann Lee Miller -- Kicking Eternity, which is my favorite, and The Art of My Life, which was also very well done. I started reading Chasing Happy with expectations based on the previous books. Ann Lee Miller lived up to those expectations by delivering a gritty, thought-provoking story line with characters who face their struggles head on. As always, she leads the reader through the development of the characters and makes you care about the outcome. Her writing has a flow that is easy to ride along without effort.
