A Little Bit About Dan Kelly the Author
"May you always find a good book to read and the time to enjoy it!"
After spending forty years in the real world of domestic and international banking, my writing activities being largely restricted to business plans, internal memos, advertising copy, news releases and speeches, I decided I had had enough of the real world and made up my mind to pursue something I’ve wanted to do for quite a while, immerse myself in the world of make believe just for the sheer joy of letting my imagination and creative juices run wild.
Except for the occasional humorous ode for the enjoyment of family, friends and colleagues, I never had the time to indulge the more fanciful side of my nature, but since July 2007 I’ve made great progress in atoning for that neglect. My Irish sense of humor coupled with my experience in dealing with a broad spectrum of people from all walks of life and social status are proving to be a wonderful reservoir of inspiration for me in character and story development.
Celestial Capers, Casino Capers, Computer Capers, Caribbean Capers and Carat Capers are the products of my first five mental voyages into the realm of make believe and I hope you will be as delighted as I was to make these trips. I am currently embarked on my sixth safari into the relatively unexplored dimensions of my imagination, Calling Card Capers, and I am finding the expedition as thoroughly enjoyable as my first five tours. I hope you will too.

Calling Card Capers
Calling Card Capers is a fascinating mixture of suspense, adventure, intrigue, revenge, violence, courage, humor and romance all woven into a captivating tale with an ironic climax that the reader will find very hard to put down. Like any good action novel it has good butting heads with evil, but in an unusual way. It pits the father a of a son KIA against the system with horrific results.
Carat Capers is a jewel of a story, pun intended. It pit’s three very greedy jewelers whose desire for wealth and the power and social status that usually comes with it has them embarking on a well-planned global crime spree to relieve their victims of very rare and valuable precious gems against a NYPD Detective Lieutenant and a Private Investigator who have teamed up to squash it.
Life can take some strange twists. This is a book about what happens to a chauffeur of luxurious yachts when his normally peaceful life at sea is shattered by modern day pirates and an old friend of his in the Coast Guard convinces him to become a member of a secret organization by the name of Sea Wasp to deal with the seafaring bandits, exchanging serenity for excitement and danger.
Casino Capers is a tale about two adversaries, Jacob "Red" Borman and Carl "The Chameleon" Carducci that take place in the world of casino gambling. Red manages casinos and The Chameleon rips them off, but only the ones Red manages and Red has no idea why he's attracting this kind of attention. It's a fascinating story filled with suspense and danger and has an unbelievable ending.
Computer Capers is a story about seven egotistical businessmen who believe America is headed down to bottom rung status in the global community and are determined to restore America’s to its premier status and willing to do some awful things to do that. A retired army general, Hank Aldrich, is just as determined to stop them and its edge of the seat reading until the last page is turned.
Celestial Capers is a delightful story for the young and old about the adventures of twelve precocious twelve year olds filled with intrigue, mystery, suspense, danger and a fair amount of humor that take place in the far reaches of the Universe which will keep the reader deeply engrossed until the last page is turned.
