Describe your desk
It is interesting that you should ask this question. I believe that my desk is unique. The desk I write from is a very old, previously discarded patio table which I have which I have re-birthed as MY DESK. However, it is not so much what it is as where it is that helps me with the process of writing. We live in the middle of the city of Maryborough in Queensland,Australia but, as I look out from where I am sitting I can see no neighbours. I look across the Mary River, in all its changing moods. On the other side of the river there is an expanse of flood-plain with lightly forested grassland and cattle and horses grazing. Way back beyond this,
nestled among the trees, a few rooftops are visible where the city resumes its dominion over the landscape. If there was some way that I could capture the sense of freedom this gives me, everyone would want to buy my books..
