This was a wonderful short story! I very much enjoyed it, and yes... "Dreams do come true, if you wish hard enough...."
  • Amanda Ackers and The Deep Forest Elves on Jan. 05, 2012

I downloaded the book onto my iPad the day it was uploaded. Usually it would take me a couple weeks at least to read something this long, but, I was so hooked, I just had to keep reading. That doesn't happen with me all that often. I love this book! Amanda is great, but I really like Tianna's attitude, and love little Sadie too. This is a great adventure story with elves, dwarves, witches and wizards and others. I really liked the chapter on the Aviary, and the Dragons Den. The fight scene where Blaine turns to stone and then shatters... Wow! I'm going to begin reading the entire thing again tonight, now that I know how and why Amanda was able to do the things she did! Can't wait for book two!!!
  • The Shortcut on Jan. 30, 2012

I was not expecting such a good story in so few words. This is very well done. I also disagree with one of the reviewers who said "The motivations for Laura to do what she does seems unsound." Gee, I guess they missed what was going on entirely! This is a great short and would love to see a much longer one, even a novel.
  • The End Of Time on Jan. 30, 2012

I've read all Glenn's stories and really love this one, as well as his "The Shortcut." If you haven't read any of his other stories, or those of his wife Sasha, you need to visit their authors page. This is a great story with an ending that really threw me!
  • Amanda Ackers and The Realm Of The Witches on March 28, 2012

More than worth waiting for! I got a Google Alert that a new work was published by these authors and was thrilled to see that it was book two of the Amanda Ackers series. I have only read the first few chapters, but the chapter "The Bone Pit" freaked me out! The terror Amanda and her friends go through almost immediately, had my heart racing and gave me chills… all those creepy crawlers, bones and skulls all over them. And all the bugs… EW! I LOVED IT! I just had to post a review now, and will review again once finished. Wow! This book rocks! You’ve got to read this series if you haven't already. I would recommend this series to anyone, and have!
  • Amanda Ackers and The Thirteen Shards Of Legend on Aug. 11, 2014

There are bad books and good books, then, there are these books, which are extraordinarily outstanding! My entire family has read the first two book over and over, and now, this book 3 has become our favorite. We loved the Grass People, Qumong and the adventures there with the hydra and bringers of doom, and all the other chapters. The ending was most unexpected, I just sat and stared at those final four words as my eyes went wide. They better get book four out quickly, I don’t think I could stand much of a wait.
  • Kahira's Destiny on Dec. 18, 2014

I live in Cyprus with my husband and two cats. I downloaded the story today and loved it. I handed my Nook to my husband who read it and liked it too. It’s really great to find authors who are generous enough to offer their work for free. Money is tight for us, and stories like these bring a lot of light into an otherwise (at times) dark existence. To the author, we say thank you. Looking forward to more stories.
