Catherine Sonnier

Writing poetry has enabled the development of finding voices for my fictional characters. Some of my poetry and short stories share the same themes. The best way to describe my writing is "dark." The trials and tribulations of life supply enough material for the darker style of writing. Most of my fictional pieces relate to fragments of my personal life. Occasionally, I sprinkle in a few happy pieces. Because I am a teacher, I also enjoy teaching writing in the classroom. When I'm not teaching, I'm writing!
