What an amazing read! I can completely relate to the boy in this story. It's so hard on a child (or anybody) to lose someone you admire so much like a grandparent and to understand how to cope is so far reached especially when you're young. I know that this story will hit home for readers because it exemplifies that coping is easier said than done and I'm sure we've all dealt with lose at some point. I found the story to be very deep, inspiring and beautifully written. This story will inspire the reader to never lose hope. I understand why this story placed at the 79th annual writers digest, it just captures the reader!
