James Masterton

Biography

James Masterton is one of the longest-serving music writers online, having been publishing a weekly guide to the UK Charts since 1992.

He has written for dotmusic.com, Yahoo! Music UK and Ireland with his column having featured since 2011 on top40.about.com with a worldwide readership of thousands. He has appeared on BBC and Channel 4 television as a music critic and spoke on radio stations across Europe about the latest events on the UK charts. His weekly chart podcast has been available since 2008 and reached the milestone of 300 editions in early 2015.

When not becoming confused and angry about how many singles Calvin Harris has taken from his album, he lives in Sidcup, South East London and spends his days making sports radio programmes, although he cannot tell you who won the FA Cup last year.
