Town Haunts

The tagline - "It takes a witch to catch a ghost" - sums up the novel well, although don't get the wrong idea that it's your average horror-story material. It is a well-written suspenseful mystery with enough drama, romance, and thrills to keep me entertained from chapter to chapter. Cathy's writing and attention to detail made it easy for me to get invested in the characters and stay emerged in the story.
The story is set in a small town where everybody knows one another, which in itself made the book really interesting for me. I enjoyed learning about each character's relationship to one another and the history that got them to where they are in the present. The book is also set in October, right before Halloween, in crisp Autumn weather - making this the perfect time to read the book. It's aptly described as a "cozy mystery" and was a great read while cuddled up and sipping spiced apple tea.
I highly recommend this book, especially to read in the Fall season. It was hard to put down!
