Christy Wilson

Biography

Christy Wilson is the author of the CPS series, which follows the life and cases of Child Protective Services worker Sadey Collins. Although her degree is in Elementary Education, with a Master Degree in Reading, Christy spent several years working in social work. She started as a Homefinder for a foster care agency, before spending several years working for Child Protective Services. Investigating the abuse and neglect of children is mentally taxing and she has experienced first-hand the many challenges, and few successes, that are experienced by CPS workers.
Christy lives with her family in the mountains of Ritchie County, West Virginia. They have three children, five grandchildren and three large dogs who believe they are children (and treated as such).
While spoiling her grandchildren is her favorite activity, writing comes in a close second. She also enjoys cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and reading everything she can from her favorite authors.

Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'd love to say drinking daiquiris and taking long walks on the beach, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so... The truth is that I'm lazy. I like to sleep late, play on my tablet, hang with the dogs, take a nice nap and read until my eyes go crossed. In between, I do the necessary things like laundry, fixing dinner, cleaning house and taking care of my husband and the dogs.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I have my favorite go-to authors that I read everything they write religiously. I also belong to several Facebook groups of Indie authors and I pick those writers first. If I enjoy their books, then I click around on the sites and find other authors they recommend.
