I live in Melbourne, originally from the UK via Singapore with my wife, the writer Sarah Martini. We live in Australia with our rescue dog Roxy, who we brought back with us when we moved back from Singapore - we got her from SOSD - Save our Street Dogs, a great organisation.
An avid people watcher and photographer, Underwater, Landscape and Macro being my particular areas of interest.
I am keen to help others get out and capturing great images, photography is a genuine marriage of art and technology as such it attracts many different types, I am seeking to assist those leaning more towards the artistic more than technical elements and to provide them with the core technical fundamentals to then enable and empower then to spend their time taking shots rather then reading manuals.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I am very new to self publishing, at the moment I would have to say word of mouth and I am using my Instagram and Social media accounts to work on developing awareness. - possibly a question to come back to once I have had more experience.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have been converted to using a Kindle by my wife, even photography books with images work well on them, the real benefit though has to be the availability and ease of getting books and content. We now rarely buy physical books from a practical and storage point e-books are just so easy to use and enjoy.
I am also someone who tends to read several books at the same time, so again, the ability to carry all of my books with me on one single device is just great.
