Caleb A. Mertz, was born on May 14th, 1986 in the small town of Bethlehem then raised in Nazareth Pennsylvania primarily by his mother. Mertz has published the titles "With Thoughts of Jason" '06, "The Silhouetted Leaves" '09, and "The Unexpected" '13 with other works published on sites such as about.com, examiner.com, and suite101.com. Reviews have been conducted in accordance with such material in several different media outlets such as Lehigh Valley Style Magazine, The Morning Call, and Carlisle, Pa.'s "The Sentinel".
Currently Mertz is serving tables at Top of the Market on San Diego Bay in San Diego Ca. Writing has, however, clocked in as a full time job for the first time! (As in 40+ hours a week at it) And was recently a Restaurant Manager for Emeril's Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa. Outside of this job he studies creative writing, continues to write articles, and other book starters. Though not big on watching horror or gothic movies, his writing tends to embrace and develop it. Looking to Ernest Hemingway, he is working on an enticing voice that resonates with a noticeable direction of uniqueness.
