Jeanette Jones, founder of Cottrill Research, has more than 20 years experience in corporate and academic libraries.
Ms. Jones' corporate experience includes establishing libraries with research functions for Arthur Andersen and Bank One (JP Morgan Chase) and providing research services to support the Strategic Sourcing Group for Wachovia. In these positions, she routinely researched and wrote about industry and competitor trends and events, enabling consultants and procurement professionals to make informed critical decisions.
In addition to her corporate expertise, Ms. Jones has academic experience, including serving as an adjunct professor for seven years at Ohio Dominican University, where she taught a Special Libraries class for the Library and Information Sciences Department. In addition, she has five years experience teaching research and information literacy skills to students at Collin College in Frisco, Texas and College of Southern Nevada, in Las Vegas. She has authored detailed research guides covering the subject areas of business, supply chain management, hotel management, casino management, and culinary arts/food and beverage management.
Ms. Jones has a Master of Library Science degree from Kent State University and was the first place winner in the Dow Jones News/Retrieval Fifth Annual Professional Researchers Essay Contest. She is a member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals, Special Libraries Association, and Institute of Supplier Management.
