R.E. Cruz Caceres

Biography

Cruz Caceres was born in suburban Chicago in the late 1970s to Mr. Cruz and Ms. Caceres, immigrants from Latin America

He spent his formative years in the cross culturally fecund ear that is suburbia, learning to navigate between different worlds inhabited by Cantinflas, The Beatles and The Banana Splits. He eventually left this behind to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and later Carleton College.

Of this experience Cruz Caceres has said that were it not for his ability to speak Spanish, Suburban and Midwestern he's not sure he would have survived.

He is currently a married father of two living in suburban Chicago.
