Cody Jackson


Cody Jackson is a self-taught Python programmer, whose formal education in programming came from learning C, C++, and J++ while earning a BS in Computer Engineering Technology. In addition, he also holds an AS in Electromechanical Technology and an MS in Information Technology Management. He working to complete a Ph.D. in Information Technology.

Retired from the US Navy, Cody has professionally written more than a dozen programs for Naval information security systems. He is also active on, where he is a “most-viewed” writer in a number of programming, certification, and technical disciplines.

In addition to three editions of his Learning to Program Using Python series, Cody has also authored a fantasy novel, entitled "The Master's Keep" and hopes to turn it into a series.
