Desia Batiste


Desia Batiste, is an earthy bohemian mixed-media artisan and soap maven who has been practicing the old world craft of soapmaking since 1994. She stumbled into soapmaking after years of fighting a losing battle with skin sensitivities.

Desia saw such wonderful improvements in her own skin problems, she quickly became a natural soap convert and began making and selling soaps and other bath and body products. Her products have been carried in local shops; featured in local newspapers and television shows. Her soap and cream has been featured on a national shopping network.

Desia has taught soapmaking classes for a national craft and hobby chain. Her love of nature; it's beauty and it's bounty is the touchstone and common thread in all her creative projects and endeavors.
