Biography
Howdy, and thanks for stopping by.
My name is Dane Rodriguez, and I am very much a product of the stories I've grown up on. From the swashbuckling lover-fighters of historical fiction, to the epic heroes of fantasy, and on to the quick-minded renegades of sci-fi, I have always looked up to those daring overachievers galavanting across the pulpy pages.
Despite not having that most wonderful plot-armor of my favorite heroes, I've gotten a lot of mileage out of these role models. I am entering my last year of engineering school where I also study philosophy, compete in varsity athletics as a champion long-jumper, and work the obligatory college-kid jobs.
Most of all, I write a whole lot.
As a writer, I write the books I love to read, and explore concepts or twist tropes in ways I have not yet seen. As of now, I have no specific style or type of story. It's all a learning process, and my only goal now is to improve each time and make each work unique.
If you like grand adventures with the unexpected twist or fresh angle, you've found an author for you. If you want to be thrown into a vaguely familiar, but still exotic world and put the pieces together along the way, you've found an author for you. If you like science fiction as written by an actual engineer who is studying and has worked in technology, you've found an author for you.
