Daniel Buinac was born in 1972 in Glina, Croatia. He won Serbian national award Pegaz for his first book of poetry Short Reminiscence of a Thread (Kratko podsecanje na nit) in 1995. He moved to London, UK in 2000, where he has been living and writing since. He authored two books of poetry in English; Best Consumed in Contemporary Moonlight and Leaning Walls. Apart from Kratko podsecanje na nit, he also published the following poetry books in Serbian; Dovoljno odstojanje, Lutanja i Sagledavanje vetrom.
