Born in Welland, raised in Parry Sound, Ontario Canada.
Currently spend most of my time with my husband at our villa in Cabarete in the Dominican Republic.
I am a volunteer with the Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic helping needy families by doing community outreach and helping out at the spay and neuter clinics.
I foster a couple of dogs in need of a forever home and have adopted 6 of my own.
I enjoy my writing career and working on my website.... as frustrating as it can be forever learning new things.
I have 3 younger brothers, 3 wonderful sons and 5 fabulous grand-kids.
The only down fall to being in the DR is missing the family and friends at home in Canada. Wish they were here!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I would really hope that my writing has helped answer some questions for my readers. I wish I could say something funny or quirky to make this sound more like the romantic vision people have of writers. That's for some but surely not most of us.
I get the greatest satisfaction when someone has taken the time to say they learned a lot and appreciate the information I have provided. That's when I know I did the job I set out to do. That's what is the most rewarding in my opinion.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Usually all I have to do is open my eyes. I get a look at the sun starting to come up and the palm leaves out our windows. Who doesn't want to start a brand new day that way? Besides there's no way our 6 dogs would let me sleep in. So maybe it's getting them fed so that I can actually get to work that makes me hit the ground running every day. The first thought was romantic if only for a minute.
