Smashwords Interview

So, tell us, what is Get Morty about?
Abstractly, it’s about not knowing exactly who you are or what you’ll do until you face “that moment.” Plot-wise, it’s about a limo/stock car driver who has ambivalent feelings towards his “step-sister,” who he is inclined to think of as his sister much of the time. Events compel him to clarify his feelings in a way he could never have foreseen.
How did you come up with the idea for the story?
I think life is full of perplexing choices, the kinds that pit yourself against yourself. That’s the worst kind, with no one to blame for your actions but yourself. I looked for a circumstance to illustrate how seemingly impossible that can be.
