David Gurz

Born 1972. Spent early childhood in Pennsylvania, then various Western states before staying in the Northwest for thirteen years. Moved back to Pennsylvania at the age of twenty and began trying to write a couple of years later. This continued through a later eight year prison sentence for robbery and led to his self published 'zine issued during that time.
After release from the stone hotel in 2006, Dave married his long time love, bought his first computer, and has continued to write after separating from that crazy broad in 2013.
He is currently working on his third book.

Smashwords Interview

What are your books about?
My first two ebooks are sort of memoiresque. Stuff culled from my life while I was living in the Pacific Northwest.
Latest project?
Well, just recently I did a split chapbook with my friend Michael Essington, author of Last One To Die. That piece was fiction, and I plan on moving in that direction for a bit. I also still do my 'zine, and I do some bloggery.

A gritty, rather unrelenting dispatch from the gutters of Seattle circa late 1980's-early 90's. Not to be confused with "misery lit" or other feel good triumph of the human spirit style storytelling, this is one mans document of life lifed at and over the edge while in that part of the country.
