I have written some short stories over the years, but this is my first full length novel. I own my own driving school in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim. I love hill walking and I have travelled to a number of different countries mainly in Europe. I have visited Australia and New Zealand, and hope to visit the USA shortly. Maybe if I make some money from my book. I like to write about things that I am familiar with, and what I don't know I will spend time researching. I am now ready to start putting pen to paper for my next novel, I have been holding off until I had Death in the Curlews published.
I have often sat on top of a mountain with pen in hand and the ideas just seem to flow in those surroundings, so I will have to keep hill climbing.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was about an event that happened when I was very young. Just a short story, but it got me writing
What is your writing process?
I like to write as soon as an idea comes into my head, I will write until I am exhausted. I sometimes find it hard to get back writing once I stop. So this is why I need to keep going once I have the flow.
Teeming with vitality, this book takes its readers on a journey from childhood to financial corruption and murder. A belief in what a person sees, can lead to unexpected outcomes and maybe even love. A powerful beautifully written thriller that will keep the reader from getting to sleep until finished.
