Dee Dee Avondale lives and writes on the road, as she is constantly travelling. Many of the stories she writes occur to her on long stretches of lonely highway or 35,000 feet over the earth, between airports. Many of the stories that occur to her are sexy, naughty, weird, or all of the above.
Dee Dee is not on Facebook, or, Blogger, or Twitter. She is not Linkedin. She doesn't have a website; she doesn't use Pinterest, and social media in general seems far more perverse to her than anything she puts down on the page. If this ever changes, she'll be sure to let you know.
When did you first start writing?
I first began writing before I can remember. Crayons and condiments on the walls, or any surface really. My mother tells me I created my own sort of picture language. "Dee Dee's hieroglyphics" she called them. I did eventually learn two other languages, but I wish I still remembered that first one.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A friend of mine really enjoys (over)using the word "impossible". What most of us think of as impossible is usually just really, really hard and maybe not worth the effort. So I started thinking about what it would take for two people to fall in love in an "impossible" situation. That, and orgasms :D
James and Mary have given in to their fierce passion, recognizing that some fires just don't burn themselves out. But where their bodies do not fear to go, their hearts do -- especially Mary's. Will she choose the safe path, away from passion and the possibility of true love? Or will she dare everything and give in to her feelings for this man who makes her feel as no other has before?
