I am trained as a theoretical mathematician. I am an emeritus member of the American Mathematical Society for fifty odd years. I have lived in Seattle since 1967. I starting writing fiction after writing a family history.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I have studied in the Sugetsu School of Ikebana of Japan, in which I hold a first level certificate. I take the Ikebana and convert it into a Marquetry art presentation. I have exhibited my Marquetry art in many museums across the country. They have included more than just Ikebana presentations. I am board member of the American Marquetry Society. When not writing I am creating Marquetry pictures which vary in size from 4 by 4 inches to 24 by 24 inches. They are all intended to hang on the walls.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have a PC. The phone is nailed to the wall with a short cord. The PC is used as a word processer.
