Dennis Herrrick is the author of ten books and numerous short stories..

He won the 2004 Tony Hillerman Mystery Writing Contest for his short story "Hunting Season," and he won the 2010 Society of Southwestern Authors Writing Contest for his short story "Missing." He is the author of several published short stories and ten books, including this reprint of the Harry Bates classic,
