The Succubus (The Complete Anthology)

This is a novel of suspense even more than of eroticism and the suspense works. The fantasy elements are well realized and within the constraints of the plot each non-villainous character has a path for growth. That is not to say that the erotic elements are weak. I was certainly stimulated. I look forward to more actually adult erotic fantasy from Alana Church.

Patricia Briggs filtered through Sheri S. Tepper*, but erotica! This story presents a pleasant twist on a shifter paranormal romance. I like that Church didn't feel the need to make the twist as a femdom story although, if you're hoping for that, you can probably fantasize it that way. A pleasant read, especially for an assertively non-alpha sort like me. * Especially The Gate to Women's Country.
