Biography

Derek Felton is a professional speaker and author of several books including the spiritual guide Brilliance is Your Birthright: 12 Steps to Discovering Your Purpose and Building Self-Confidence; the leadership book, Mentoring Student Leaders to Greatness: 25 Ways Student Leaders Can make Healthy Choices and Create Success in School and Life; and the upcoming empowerment opus for people of African ancestry, S.O.U.L. He is also the co-author of the NAACP award-winning The Black Male Handbook (Atria, 2009) His mission is to educate, empower, and entertain 1,000,000 people to make healthy choices, connect with their purpose, and to become better leaders.

Derek has delivered keynote addresses for organizations and schools all over the United States including: NBC Universal, Major League Baseball, Penn State University, University of Cincinnati, and University of Memphis and was featured in a national ad campaign with Jordan Brand/Nike and SLAM Magazine.

Derek, and his wife, Vikki, live in Cincinnati, OH.
