Dhirendra Mishra, an Engineer, a poet, a blogger and a photographer. His first book “Story of the Boy in Hat” is an experiment to bring out the story out of words in poetry form. His work has been published in local edition of Times of India, TNOV, Jaipur. His interest in photography led his photograph to the “Youth Photography Festival 2014”. He is a lover of technology too and have keen interest in Cloud computing and Data science. He is working for Ericsson India and pursing his master’s degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India. No matter where he is, what he is doing, if words started flowing out of his mind, then you can find him no where except with my Mobile, Diary, Laptop and a busy brain lost in his own world.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am born in beautiful village in outskirts of Uttar pradesh in India. I am brought up in different parts of India and did my schooling from different places, mostky in Northern part of India due to frequent postings of My father who was serving Indian Army at that time. It gave me an opportunity to know different kind of culture and people. I have been close in observing people behaviour, feelings from childhood but that doesn't mean would have studied Psychology, I have been studying Science in School, Engineering in College and now working for a multi national compnay while keep the light of writing in my inner soul alive and serve the mankind to learn and grow from my writing. If my work inspires someone, makes you smile, makes you 'feel', my goal is achieved.
When did you first start writing?
mmm. . .. that's started in school only, when my friends used to read comics, at that age I used to write comics stories and realize my super heroes in my notebook's. After 8th year of my schools, I started writing poetry and short stories. It was years 2013, when I self published my first title in Poetry genre with name 'Story of the Boy in Hat". I have also written many research papers, reviews and Articles in local edition of TNOV, Times of India, Jaipur. I used to write my blogs too.
Story of the Boy in Hat is an endeavor to pour out the heart of a lover in words and make you feel the intensity of love one can have for his/her beloved. It is a chain of interconnected poems, first of its kind in history of poetry world that spreads fragrance of love in atmosphere one after another chapter as you explore it and take you through the whirling roller-coaster ride of emotions.
