Douglas Ellingson has spent the majority of his professional life working in construction management. The Proving and The Splintering are his first forays into writing fiction; however, they are not his first writings; he spent a two year stint working as a reporter for a McGraw-Hill publication in Southern California, attending writing and reporting work-shops on a routine basis. He currently lives in Santa Maria, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, The Philippines, a tropical paradise, with the love of his life, Eleanor and his 5 step-children, Marco, Rachel, Carmela, Mikko, and Mikka.
